
By signing on to star in a Broadway production next year, Jessica Alba beat the actor’s strike.
Alba told U.S. morning TV show live that she doesn’t want to be out of work when the actor’s strike happens in June 2008, and now she’s talking to star in David Mamet’s ‘Speed-the-Plow’. If she’s in, Alba would be playing Karen, who debuted on NY stage.
She said to the press that: “I have been asked. It’s perfect timing because of the strike. There might be an actor’s strike in June. So if they don’t resolve, I can do theatre.
